Upcoming Events 2009

Here are some of the events planned. Some on going events to be reminded about. Come out and get involved you may like it.

  • ATTENTION! Check-ins have for fall /winter season 2009/2010 every Sunday 7:55PM -10:05PM LSB ch 38 (27.385mhz)
  • The Radio Group wishes to thanks Dwayne (RC0296) for his efforts in fabricating a large stainless steel BBQ. The new BBQ is much larger than the previous one and accommodates preparing food for the many group members attending various breakfasts and suppers. Thanks again Dwayne.
  • March 13th, 2010 - Fox / bunny hunt proposed for the evening. Details to follow.
  • March 20th, 2010 - Radio Canada breakfast - at Aalto's dining room 8am to 10am
  • April 17th, 2010 - Radio Canada supper at Doug's Kave Inn.
  • May 15th, 2010 - Radio Canada breakfast meeting at Doug's breakfast bistro
  • June 19th, 2010 - Radio Canada BBQ supper at Doug's Kave Inn.

  • November 21st, 2009 - Radio Canada breakfast at Doug's Breakfast Bistro. 8am-10am. Menu is pancakes and bacon, juice, coffee, etc. Prepaid by November 18th please.
  • December 12th, 2009 - Annual Radio Canada Christmas Dinner at Alto's
  • October 24th, 2009 - Radio Canada supper at Doug's Kave Inn. 7Pm-9PM. Excellent steaks on the BBQ and delicious French Onion Soup!
  • September 12th, 2009 - Radio Canada breakfast - at Aalto's dining room 8am to 10am
  • June 27th, 2009 - Radio Canada BBQ - at Doug's Sizzler. Great roast beef on the new BBQ - delicious! Thanks to Chef Doug once again!
  • May 23rd, 2009 - Radio Canada breakfast - location TBA
  • April 25th, 2009 - Radio Canada supper - BBQ’D RIBEYE STEAK, SOUP, SALAD, BAKED POTATO, WARM BUNS OR BREAD, COFFEE, MILK OR SOFT DRINK.

  • January 24th, 2009 - Radio Canada breakfast at Aalto's dining room. We had 24 members for breakfast on a fine sunny -30C morning. The buffet at Aalto's was tasty as usual. Good fun had by all.

  • December 21st, 2008 - Delivery of Christmas Cheer Board hampers. Meet at Doug's at noon. Thanks to all those who helped deliver. The families and their children appreciated the hampers.
  • December 13th, 2008 - Radio Canada Annual Christmas Dinner - Aalto's dining room. Please advise Doug if you are bringing any children so we can arrange enough Santa Sacks.
  • November 22nd, 2008 - Radio Canada breakfast meeting at Doug's breakfast bistro. Please advise Doug by Novemeber 19th if you will be in attendance. menu is bacon, eggs, potato (in sme form), toast, juice, and coffee. Price is $6.00 per person.
  • September 7th, 2008 - regular Sunday night check-ins begin for the fall/winter season. 7:55pm - 10:05pm every Sunday.
  • October 18th, 2008 - Radio Canada supper meeting at Doug's Bar and Grill. Menu is slated to be soup salad course followed by Doug's Chicken Cordon Blue,
    baked potato, warm crusty rolls. Price is just $8.50 per person.

    • POSTPONED --- June 16th , 2007 DOUG (RC02) has his annual fishing trip on the same weekend. BBQ to be rescheduled. BBQ Supper at Doug's Bar and Grill 7-9PM. Must be prepaid by June 13th. Price is cheap at only $2.00 for hotdog and drink or burger and drink.

    • February 17th, 2007 Radio Canada supper at Royal Pizza inside the Riverside Inn, 525 St. Mary's Road. Must declare attendance by February 10th as seating is limited and last time we had a huge turn-out. 7-9PM
    • January 20th, 2007 Saturday Radio Canada Breakfast at Alto's Dining room. 8:30AM - 10:00AM.
    • October 29, 2006 Rob (RC283) helps host a "Haunted House" on 113 Berrydale Street (map). Scariness starts at 6:30pm and runs until approximately 8pm. Fun for the whole family!
    • Thanks for all who came down to the "Haunted House". Local press and radio coverage helped spread the word. RC283 reported over 640 people attended!
    • November 18th, 2006 Radio Canada breakfast at 11M radio shop (Doug's Bar and Grill). Cost is just $6.00 paid in advance NOT LATER THAN NOV 13th. Please bring a chair, plate, cutlery and a cup. 8AM-10AM
    • Thanks for all members who attended the breakfast. Doug (RC02) did his usual excellent chef duties. And except for a some forgotten potatoes in the fryer all went well!
